With the development of the printing and packaging industry, the embossing and hot stamping processes have gradually become popular. Therefore, concave and convex molds have been widely used in the fields of cigarette packages, pharmaceutical packaging, cosmetics packaging, and greeting cards. Chemical etching machine.Corrosion technology is mainly used to make concave and convex molds, and the materials often include copper plate or zinc plate. The following is a brief introduction to the process flow of making concave and convex molds by corrosion technology.

Process flow of corroding concave and convex molds

1. Use chemical or physical methods to remove the stains on the substrate from the quenched female and male molds, such as degreasing powder, cleaning powder, etc. to clean.

2. Roughen the surface of the substrate. Use an object with suitable hardness (3M nylon cloth or No. 1000 fine gauze cloth) to wipe the surface of the substrate to form traces with a density and depth of about 0.005MM.

3. Modulate photosensitive glue.

4. Printing or coating photosensitive glue. Put the roughened substrate into the coater for coating, and make sure that the substrate is free of air bubbles after completion.

5. Expose and dry the coated substrate. The exposure should use a 5KW or 7KW water-cooled exposure machine, the time is about 5-10 minutes, and the temperature of the table is controlled at about 18°C.

6. After checking the substrate to confirm that there is no degumming, put it into the corrosion machine to start corrosion. Set the upper limit of the corrosion machine temperature to 23 degrees, and adjust the time control switch to 5~10min.

7. After the corrosion is completed, the substrate layout should be flattened, and the scale should be removed, and the burrs on the edge of the pattern should be cleaned by friction with a nylon brush and weak sulfuric acid water to avoid puncturing the product.

8. Splice the male and female molds in opposite directions. If they do not match, the female mold and male mold are soaked in weak sulfuric acid water respectively to make the edge of the female mold larger and the edge of the male mold smaller until they match.

The formula of photosensitive glue

Na solution: 40 g of polyvinyl alcohol, 0.5 g of sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, 4 ml of glacial acetic acid, and 250 ml of water.

Liquid B: 5g ammonium dichromate, 30ml water, a small amount of eosin, 40ml polyvinyl acetate.

Liquid A is made by mixing polyvinyl alcohol, sodium sulfonate and water and dissolving in a water bath, and then filtering with a 180-mesh screen; chemical etching machine.liquid B is filtered with filter paper after dissolving.

Corrosion solution formulation

1. The corrosive liquid that corrodes the copper plate

1) Prepare a solution of ferric chloride with a concentration of 41% (tested with a density meter)

2) Add 36% concentrated hydrochloric acid, the addition ratio is 1%~1.5%

3) When there are patterns on the substrate after corrosion, add an appropriate amount of defoamer

4) Add formamidine and vinyl thiourea as additives

2. The corrosive liquid that corrodes the zinc plate

1) Prepare nitric acid solution with a concentration of 68%

2) The prepared nitric acid solution needs to be replaced every day
